IIM Bangalore decides the cut off after CAT Result to select the adequate number of candidates for the selection process. Cut off set by the IIM Bangalore is the minimum qualifying percentile that applicants should score in CAT 2017 to become eligible for PI and WAT.

IIM-B adopts a two-phase selection process. The first phase process applies to all eligible candidates who appear for CAT. The second stage is Personal Interview and Written Ability Test. Only qualifying candidates from Phase 1 are called for next rounds. Final selection of candidates for admission into the program offered by IIM-B is made on the basis of their academic record and performance in CAT, WAT, and PI.

IIM Bangalore Cut Off 2018: Weightage

According to the notice released by IIM Bangalore regarding their admission policy for the academic year 2018-20, the institute will award 40% weight to CAT 2017 percentile score in shortlisting of candidates for the selection process and 25% weight in the final selection process.
IIM Bangalore has announced following weights to all the factors involved in shortlisting criteria for the selection process i.e. PI-WAT round:

IIM Bangalore Cut off 2018

Aspirants are selected for the selection process i.e. Personal Interview and Written Ability Test(WAT) based on the cut off released by the b-school for CAT 2017 and other factors as mentioned above.

According to the cut off released by IIM Bangalore for the year 2018, CAT 2018 cut off for general category will be 90 percentile and for OBC(Non-Creamy layer) and SC/ST/PWD, it is 80 and 75 respectively. VARC Cut off is more compared to other two sections DI&LR and QA for general and OBC(Non-Creamy layer) category.

The overall and sectional cut off for 2018 for all the categories is same as the last year.

IIM Bangalore cut Off 2017

VARC section cut off is higher in comparison to that of the other two sections, which are DI & LR and Quantitative Ability. The overall cut off for SC, ST and PWD category was high in the year 2017 as compared to the cut off of 2016. The cut off for general and OBC(Non-Creamy layer) remained the same

IIM Bangalore cut off 2016

From CAT 2015, The Paper has three different sections: Verbal Ability and Reading Comprehension, Data Interpretation and Logical Reasoning and Quantitative Analysis.

Compared to the previous year’s IIM Bangalore Cut off, the VA & LR cut off was increased by five points in 2016 but the cut off for QA & DI section is 10 percentile less than that of the VA & LR section to ensure academic diversity.

CAT 2014 comprised only two sections. The cut off for IIM Bangalore for 2015 was same as that of the year 2016.
