On the basis of the students cut off scores, they will be called for CAT counseling. IIM Lucknow cut off for the general category candidates is 90 percentile for Post Graduate Programme in Management (PGPM) programme. The cut off for PGP-Sustainability Management (PGP-SM) and PGP-Agri Business Management courses ranges from 80 to 86 percentile.

The CAT cut off will be prepared on the basis of various factors which are as

  • The Difficulty level of the examination
  • Availability of seats
  • Total number of students appearing for the exam

IIM Lucknow CAT cut off 2018

IIM Lucknow cut off is the minimum cut off percentile that students have to achieve for getting admission in the management programs offered by the institute. Post Graduate Programme in Agribusiness Management (PGP-ABM)

This is a full-time residential programme that focuses on developing agribusiness leaders. To get eligible for this programme, general category candidates must have an overall percentile of 85 and sectional percentiles of 80.

Although, the sectional and overall cut off is same for the General, NC-OBC, SC and ST and the cut off for PWD for all the three programmes has reduced by five percentile. There is also no change in shortlist or selection criteria.

IIM Lucknow Selection Process

All the shortlisted students will be called for the selection process. The selection process is comprised of three steps i.e. Group Discussion, Personal Interview and Written Ability Test. Following is the detailed explanation of selection process:

Group Discussion

In this step, a topic will be given to the students to discuss. The topic will be based on National and International Politics, Current Affairs, and Government Policies etc.

Written Ability Test (WAT)

In this step, one or more topics will be given to write a brief essay. Time duration to complete the test varies from 15 to 20 minutes.

Personal Interview

This is the final step of the selection process. In this round, students have to appear in front of a panel of 4-8 interviewers. Student’s academic background, work experience, hobbies, interests etc will be tested in this round.
